World Championship Stage 2B – CheatersNever Prosper Earlier this week, we got a few reports that one of the top teams participating in Stage 2B had players using cheats. After investigating that we found that the team, Thumbgamers, did have players who were cheating. We have no interest in entertaining cheaters of any kind, but to see a team trying to climb up the World Championship and in such a dishonest and false way is completely inexcusable. The team was removed the championship, enforcement actions with the maximum possible punishment were given out based on the cheating itself, and we’ve also qualified a team who would have otherwise been disqualified (due to placements). Thank you to everyone who reported this and we’ll do our best to keep the World Championship, and the game, as fair and cheater free as possible. Manifest Destiny Draw Last week our second lucky draw, Hells on Shells, for Season 9 was released and with the devilishly dark and mysterious Dark Shephard and the explosive ASM10 – Bunker Buster. This week, we have a more military themed draw releasing with the Manifest Destiny Draw. This draw brings in a brand-new and heavily armored soldier, American Bulldog. Molotov Cocktails This week we’ve noticed a steady decline in demands to have the Molotov Cocktail nerfed into oblivion and related memes; we’ll take that as a win in relation to the adjustments we made last week! Of course, we’ll keep an eye on everything and make any additional adjustments we deem necessary, but just to share a little a bit about the dev side of all of this let’s explore a typical nerf/buff scenario like this Molotov Cocktail change from this last update. Here is how that process goes down:
New update is released and with this new item or altered item
Dev teams look at in-game data, particularly around how often an item is being used
Community teams monitor for feedback
If an item is flagged, from either team, additional data is examined to check power “balance”
Even if conclusive results are found and unless there is overwhelmingly negative feedback, we’ll generally wait at least several days to see if the feedback and usage is just due to it being new - A great example of this was the tank release in BR, many people had said it was far too strong when it released but after less than a week many strong counters were found.
After enough time has passed and if the balance related results or feedback do not change, we’ll implement an adjustment in an upcoming hotfix or update
Sure, that’s fairly straight-forward to most people, but we also get asked a lot why we don’t immediately react to something like all of the Molotov Cocktail feedback. In this case, we did respond rather quickly and it was agreed to lower the overall damage, but in some other cases we may end up waiting depending on what we described above. Hopefully that gives a bit insight into that process around nerfs and buffs. Feel free to follow-up and ask any other questions though. We are always happy to share as long it doesn’t end up being sensitive or internal only information. Ranked Matchmaking Times We saw some reports after the Season 9 launch and then again recently about matchmaking times, particularly in Ranked Mode for Multiplayer, being unusually high. Around each launch of a new Ranked Series this is normal behavior for the first couple of days. Players are climbing back up the ranks after the reset and that tends to slow matchmaking down for the highest levels. However, here we are over a week later and players were still reporting this issue. As a result, our teams have looked into that and made some adjustments earlier this week. We’ve seen positive feedback in response to those adjustments so far, but thanks to those who called it out! We’ll continue to keep an eye on it. How Killcams Work We saw a Reddit post recently about fixing killcams and that’s a bit of tough subject to discuss, but it isn’t a “bug” per say. Generally, in any game you play the kill cam is not the exact footage of what just happened to you in-game. Instead, it is data that is being simulated to best represent and visualize exactly what happened. This is common knowledge in Call of Duty titles to the point that there is even a Call of Duty Wikipedia post about this exact subject. Meaning, it can potentially end up looking weird, a little off, or just flat out wrong. This can happen due to lag that occurred (server side or by the player) at the time the data was being recorded. There are even times when we have the kill cam specifically turned off in certain modes to prevent performance issues. Since the launch of Season 9 we’ve pushed out a ton of fixes, like we mentioned last week, and we are still keeping an eye out for more issues or trying to refocus on some of the longer term issues. For now, let’s jump into a few and just make sure to reach out if you are encountering anything. Missing Voice Overs Thanks to the 60+ people who reached out last week about this and provided various details. We are still working on gathering all of that, compiling it, and testing it out to confirm. Every time we do a call-out for help finding info on a bug or issue, or even for feedback, you all respond quickly and with plenty of details. Thank you very much for your diligence and for taking the time to do so. Voice Chat Issues We still regularly see players reporting various issues with VOIP (Voice Chat) not working in-game and primarily in Battle Royale. These reports come in various forms, like chat cutting out randomly mid-match and then coming back randomly in that same match, the chat dropping completely until the game is restarted, or a few other inconsistent ways. We recognize these issues have been hard to track down, replicate, and fix, but we still want to investigate them and do whatever we can to help fix them. Please keep reporting them to support channels and hopefully we’ll get enough information to find some more fixes to attempt. Thanks to every player who has reached out about this week after week. Authorization Errors These fun general errors are still around and we are still looking into them. We've had a bit of trouble figuring these out because they are very rarely being reported in the same way. For instance, if these issues occurred with everyone on X device using Facebook logins only then it would be an easy discovery and investigation, but in this case it is all over the place and no clear cause has been found yet. However, it is still an ongoing investigation and our teams are doing some deep dives now. Fixed a bug that caused a crash while preparing tooltip for villages in the town management popup. Fixed some localization bugs in the encyclopedia. Fixed a bug that caused development stats for items to be visible in item tooltip (Culture, StringId). Fixed a bug that caused selected clan to change in Kingdom clan tab after supporting a clan. Fixed an issue in character naming that didn't allow for 1 character names in Asian languages. Fixed an issue that caused the raid icon to become visible in village nameplates when there is a battle happening nearby.
Battles and Sieges
Not being able to defend against ranged attacks when the Auto option was selected for blocking direction has been fixed. AI will be less cautious while they are besieging settlements so the player has a greater chance to experience defensive sieges by breaking into a castle or town. In previous versions, the AI was giving up the siege in most scenarios when the player joined the defenders because of changed power ratios. Because of this sieges will also be won more frequently by defenders compared to past versions.
Character Development System
We have removed some of the starting equipment that was too strong or too expensive. This will create a more even starting point for each selection. Added 24 for combat-related perks for Riding. This completes the perks for this skill. Added 6 new campaign-related throwing perk.
Clan and Party
Starving parties healthy troops will be wounded 50% slower
AI changes its siege targets less frequently now so they lose less time while travelling from one target to another Because of some bugs, weak factions were having problems in forming armies. Now they will form armies even if they are weak and they will not simply give up. In rare cases, some factions which have no settlements left will make comebacks by conquering a new settlement.
Kingdoms and Diplomacy
AI clans make their wapeace decisions more cleverly and take into account a broader range of situations. They generally do not want to face more than 1-2 enemies at the same time. So if they have lots of enemies they will try to make peace with some of them. This will reduce wiped out factions because in previous versions some factions were not giving logical decisions at diplomatic votings. Clans which have settlements that border the enemy will want peace more frequently. Similarly, they will not want wars in peace times. Rich kingdoms will not care about paying tribute as much as poor ones. If a faction has fewer men in garrisons or lord parties or if lots of settlements have food problems they will try to end the war with their recent enemies. There will be less snowballing due to all these changes because clans will try to act in the interest of their kingdom.
Settlement Actions (Town, Village, Castle and Hideout)
New "Barber" NPC added to the town centre of every town. For 100 denars, this NPC lets you decide on a new haircut. Depending on the culture of the town, these haircuts and beards can change.
Quests & Issues
Lord Needs Horses
Companions assigned for the alternative solution were not getting quest experience. This is fixed. Added more detailed quest log entries for Lord Needs Horses quest. Fixed an issue that caused the party encounter menu to pop up once the player finishes a conversation with the quest giver. Minor faction leaders can no longer give Lord Needs Horses quest.
Landlord needs Manual Labor
Fixed a bug that allowed players to get infinite relation with the quest giver. Fixed a bug that caused the counter offer NPC's dialogue to be wrong. Defender and deserter parties spawned during Extortion by Deserters quest have their cultures set to the quest village's original culture. Wrong usages of the gold transaction action were fixed in multiple parts of the code. This should fix wrong or missing logs. Fixed a bug that causes dialogue counts to be wrong in Artisan Can't Sell Products quest. Fixed a bug that prevents quest NPC's from sheathing their weapons after Family Feud quest fight. Fixed duplicated persuasion dialogue text in Army of Poacher quest persuasion. Fixed a bug that blocked quests from being completed with alternative (companion) solutions and made alternative solution companions disappear in some cases. An issue with encounter side based logic was fixed. This caused the spawn points of heroes in hostile town and castle conversation missions to be reversed. Fixed a bug that caused conversation buttons to become unresponsive after a bandit/looter party encounter.
Tournaments will now use blunt weapons. Blunt weapons will make sure these events occur in a more friendly manner. Fixed a bug that prevented removing corpses while ending a tournament round. A new menu that notifies players about their situation has been added for cases where the village that they are staying in gets raided by someone else Improvements for the automatic navmesh creation system were made Fixed multiple encyclopedia log entries for 2 heroes meeting for the first time Added a console command to disable day/night cycle. Team Voice Chat has been fixed and reenabled, during the last closed beta there were some issues with it not outputting some people’s voice. It functions with push-to-talk which you requires you to hold a keybind, which can be set in Settings-Controls-Communications (B by default), when someone is speaking an icon will appear via the Team Voice Chat HUD element (added by default on your HUD, you can move it if you wish) and if you wish to mute someone you can do so by pressing Escape, going to the Match menu, selecting the Players tab and clicking the mute button next to a player’s name - IMPORTANT: currently Diabotical does not recognize any audio device changes while it’s running, if you wish to change your input or output audio devices for when you play Diabotical at the moment you must do so before starting Diabotical

We believe that we have fixed the issue that caused a player in Aim Arena to spawn in the incorrect Arena after a round ended, if you see this problem again please report it - note that during warmup it is now intended for the warmup arena to be random instead of always the first arena
New game mode! Extinction, this 3v3 game mode which is available in the Competitive 3v3 pickup queue, is a round based mode, played first to 4 rounds won, in the current TDM maps with item pickups. In this mode all players start each round with 3 lives, after one player's lives run out they will keep respawning but once all players of a team lose their lives they will lose the round. Players that no longer have lives, "ghosts" can be identified by their ghost-like effect and the little skull icon under their avatar.Respawn times in this mode are affected by the difference of lives between the players with most lives on each team, if there's a difference of 2 lives then the respawn time for the team with the player with most lives will be 9.5 seconds; if there's a difference of 1 life, then the respawn time for the team with the player with most lives will be 5.5 seconds; the team that doesn't have a player with as many lives will have 1.5 second respawn times; and when both teams' life leaders are tied, both teams will have 1.5 second respawn times.Powerups in this mode change each round starting with the Vindicator, followed by Vanguard, Siphonator and then the sequence restarts. The weapons respawn every 5 seconds

It just happened. Context: I was lvling in Hydron with 3+ randoms. Latim servers, as a latin myself I like to play with spanish people. One of them begin to attack me by my Mr (27), I respond with "ah, you have everything black & red, totally a tryhard". The other one answered "you a racist?", and the guy I mocked answered "yes, maybe one report to learn". This happened in Latin servers (again) , as I'm latin too, so all of this was typed in spanish. Don't know if it's worth mentioning, but there it is. Can this be used to ban me, even when clearly these are two topics totally different from each other?. These situations have always make me avoid public matchmaking. I will update this post if something happens. Would appreciate your opinions. For some reason ranked matchmaking is placing people from latin american countries all the way up on one of the north eastern United states servers. I'm not getting this issue playing non ranked matches, I get paired up with people from up north, the midwest and the east coast in general. So much for region locked matchmaking to keep ranked matches as pure as possible. Every update brings one positive and twenty more negatives. Place these people on their own servers, it's causing issues so severe that now ghost bullets seem to be the norm. I'm seriously thinking about shipping an elementary school standardized geography textbook to Timi studios, you'll see how much of a gap there is between someone living in Guayaquil Ecuador to someone living all the way up in the new england area.

For some reason the server in Sao Paulo experiences higher matchmaking time in the hours where you would expect a higher load of players (afternoons and night) but is actually super quick in lower load hours (mornings and lunchtime). This leads me to believe the server might be unable to handle the high loads at the peak times which maybe makes it cap the amount of games that can be played simultaneously. Of course this is all speculation, but it would be cool to get some official info on this because a lot of the time you have 7-10 min queues at peak hours.

We cut to Brian Hill in the ring, unassuming in baby blue wrestling tights and a mop of brown hair. As he warms up in the ring, a low Latin beat signals the arrival of Numero Uno. Uno’s mask was a white cross on a dark blue background, with his long wrestling pants and flowing cape matched. He enters the ring with a flourish and is ready for action. El Numero Uno defeated Brian Hill in 5:05 with an “Oaxaca High Kick” for the single leg hook pinfall. Carlisle is out first, with his brother by his side, trying to keep his younger brother from getting distracted before his debut singles encounter. Carlisle moves like a man possessed, while Vladimir is composed. Matt Lee also enters the ringside area with his tag team partner, both of whom looked prepared for action. Strong is in a warm up jacket and sweats and wishes his partner luck before his match. Carlisle Chance defeats Matt Lee in 9:21 after a referee distraction from Vladimir causes Lee to get rolled up. Strong and Lee are livid at their loss, with Lee grabbing a chair to ward off the still attacking Carlisle, as Vlad does his best to restrain his brother, telling him it’s not his time yet. Jake Strong was roughed up slightly by Carlisle during the scuffle and our announcers are worried this will adversely affect Strong in his match tonight against Tony Yates. Childress and Rogen are joined in the studio by a young superstar who is introduced as the son of Crimson O’Hara, the much talked about Kyle O’Hara. Since his birth, Kyle has been waited upon by the wrestling world for his big league debut. Strong is still at ringside from the last match, as is Matt Lee, both still reeling from their encounter with Crown of Thorns. Jake Strong defeats Vance Ryker in 8:57 by referee stoppage as Strong makes Ryker pass out with a rear-naked choke. Ryker implodes, grabbing a chair and swinging it wildly at Wild Horses, as they scurry to the back. The announcers tell us that Vance’s anger problems and sore loser mentality won’t get him far in this company. As Ryker composes himself enough to head to the backstage area, there’s silence from the announcers. After a moment, we here Childress mutter “Alright, I guess we have no choice.” We cut to the announcers booth. “Now folks,” Rogen says, “normally this is where we would introduce our main event, American Romero & Vincent Vice versus El Maestro & Pistol Pete, but it seems that someone here has something to say. We go now to ringside where...Pistol Pete has an announcement.” In the ring, we see Pistol Pete, accompanied by Fire & Blood, standing with a hog-tied Bret Shart. Pete holds a microphone as DANTE and LEO hold lead pipes. “I know what you’re gonna tell me, Bret.” Pete says, staring down the owner of the company, “‘Mistakes were made, Pete, you weren’t supposed to beat O’Hara.’ Well I did. I not only beat him, I obliterated him, I made it so he can’t wrestle. And now, because I hurt your precious cash cow, you won’t give me what I earned, what’s MINE.” As Pete says this, Maestro and Bret’s Bodyguard come down the ramp as Pete turns his attention to them, “Don’t get too close, or there goes your meal ticket.” Maestro sells his helplessness as the Bodyguard looks about, confused. “You think you can stick me with your guy after what happened last week? You thought I was gonna work well with this guy? I won that title shot. I’m gonna win that title. And just so you can say that you have a heavyweight champion, I…” he gestures to Fire & Blood, “packed on a little muscle.” American Romero and Vincent Vice come out, brushing past Maestro, both prepared for action. Just then, from out of the ringside area, comes a returning Fringe! He grabs a microphone and jumps in the ring, unafraid of the three man force in front of him. The announcer put over that it was Fringe’s title shot before his suspension. He looks as if he’s about to speak, but then we hear Bret’s annoying yell. “Wait! Wait! I’ll make a deal with you Pete. You can have your title shot back, as long as you untie me and join my crew.” Pete looks around at the five men surrounding him, and makes the decision to bargain with the pleading man: “I want a contract renegotiation. And guaranteed deals for me and my crew.” “This is fucking stupid!” shouts Vincent Vice, as he climbs into the ring. “Deal! Deal! Deal!” Maestro and the Bodyguard attack Vice and Romero, as Fire & Blood take on Fringe. Pete quickly unties Shart and they escape into the back. Tony Yates and Pensacola Playboy empty out of the backstage area to tip the scales in the good guys favor, but the Bodyguard puts them both through the announcers’ desk. DANTE and LEO are taken out by Fringe, who is met in the ring with Vincent Vice, they stare each other down before they begin to brawl. Romero and Maestro begin to throw themselves through the empty crowd seats, joined by the Bodyguard soon after, resulting in Romero being thrown over a guardrail. They make their way back to the ring, as Vice and Fringe turn their attention from each other to the attackers. Maestro is able to misdirect the pair into each other, as the Bodyguard cleans up the mess. Mayhem goes off the air with Maestro and the Bodyguard standing tall in the middle of the ring.

Hi all, Its been a while since I did the last network connectivity report. This time I decided to do a connectivity analysis on CN servers so that you guys can make estimations on the gameplay experience. First of all, let me introduce some basic knowledge so that you can have a better understanding reading the analysis. The game consists of two main types of logical servers, the Lobby servers and the Match servers. The Lobby server is which the client communicates to when players are not in a match, like viewing profile, viewing heroes, talents and queueing. The Match server is which clients connect to during a match, such server info is retrieved from the Lobby server. Normally there is one logical Lobby server for each region. As for Match servers, they are best deployed in different locations so that players in different location can be assigned to servers near them, if matchmaker decided to do so. In Vainglory, that's exactly how it works. Public network in China basically consists of 5 main players, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Mobile Tietong and CERNET (China Education & Research Network). Servers deployed physically almost all connect to one or more of these networks. It is best to connect to as many networks as possible as traffic from different network has to go through an exchange node, which in China, a geographically large area, performance hurts. Please note, the exact IPs you might connect to are subject to change as the same feature is often provided by multiple physical servers, especially for match servers. But as long as they are in the same network segment, you should have similar experience. Auth Server: Amazon US West, San Francisco (18.104.22.168), where you authenticate yourself and redirected to the Lobby server of your account's region Lobby Server: Amazon China North, Beijing (22.214.171.124) Match Servers:
Now, what you can do is tcping each match server to check the latency, or use traceroute (tracert on Windows) to trace your traffic to these servers. Please note, "ping" command won't work as these servers don't respond to ICMP queries. Use tcping at port 55 or traceroute to check the last responding node, which should be the gateway of its network, and after that the latency is within 5 ms. Players in further south SEA, NA east coast, whole Oceania, whole Africa, whole Latin America and West European regions, you won't get great experience. Players in East Asia and some SEA countries, your experience theoretically should be acceptable, but latency is not just the travel time of light between you and the designated location. Your ISP may route your traffic first through US as your ISP (or the backbone behind) doesn't peer with any of China's backbone network. It is doable to achieve sub 100ms latency if you choose VPNs wisely. For Australian players, please check out my results. Be warned, as we can barely play on SEA servers, gameplay experience on CN servers won't be acceptable. However, experience on your ISPs may vary. However, if I connect to my University VPN, which in Australia connected to AARNet and they peer with China Telecom, so my traffic is directly routed to China Telecom and the final result is around 200ms. I wouldn't advise you to play Vainglory using your University VPNs, it may break the terms of usage or other rules. I don't play on it as well and only did such research while connected. I can't give you any advice on subscribing to VPNs on the market, they are all shady and no one is innocent, plus my focus is on how to get faster connection in China, not the other way around. So I thought it would be helpful to create a glossary of commonly-used terminology which is not at all cynical or salty. Please add more entries as needed. World of Warships: a vision control game with some naval combat elements, featuring the famous and historical Soviet Navy (plus some other obsolete lines that needn't be bothered with) General terms
AA: Anti-aircraft artillery, designed to shoot down airplanes in a way that feels unfair to both surface ship players and aircraft carrier players simultaneously
Camo/Signals: Decorative expendable items with various bonuses; rare versions can be equipped to increase the odds of your next match being a lopsided blowout with minimal XP gains
Cap: A circle on the map that turns red in the first few minutes of the match and must be avoided at all costs
Citadel: A ship's armored vital section, which is somehow absent or essentially unhittable on nearly half the ships in the game
Commander: The single crew member necessary aboard each ship, who must be trained up to at least level 10 to have any real value (See: Concealment)
Concealment: The use of special crew training and magi-technology to make a huge black-smoke-spewing naval vessel 10~20% more difficult to spot
Damage Control: Common consumable to all ships, used to extinguish two fires on your vessel so that three more can be set a few seconds later
Detonation: The sudden and random explosion of your ship, which occurs when the server decides you've had enough fun for the day
Dispersion: The eliptical area in which your shells are guaranteed to land at a given distance, typically excluding the ship-sized area where your intended target is sailing
DFAA: Defensive anti-aircraft fire consumable, which may annoy enemy aircraft enough for them to leave your AA radius and come back when the consumable is on cooldown
Engine Boost: A consumable which slightly increases the speed of most destroyers, and causes French ships to become physics-defying UFOs
Flanking: A maneuver in which you try to sneak around to the enemy's side in order to get spotted by a CV/DD and focus-fired to death
Fully broadside: The vulnerable state of presenting any angle greater than 30 degrees nose-in to the enemy
Hydro: Active sonar consumable, a system designed to detect subs, which can't actually detect subs; causes CVs to join the match if selected on your cruiser instead of DFAA
IFHE: Inertial Fuse High Explosive, a special commander skill that makes light cruisers (and some destoyers) flat out superior to heavy cruisers at dealing damage
Island: A landmass which suddenly materializes in front of your ship while you are making a desperate fighting retreat from the enemy
Lemming Train: A popular tactic in which the majority of allied ships advances to the same area on the map, only to get stalled or outright routed by a smaller enemy force
Matchmaker: A sorting system to create fair and balanced battles by putting you, a drunk man, a pensioner with cataracts, a toddler mashing the keyboard, and several PRC bots against two triple divisions with 75% average win rate
Overpen: A minimal-damage hit when an armor-piercing round punches clean through a ship without exploding, which happens more often than not because apparently warships are completely hollow tin cans
Positioning, bad: A location that allows the enemy to shoot you (i.e. not hiding behind an island or hugging the map border), or prevents you from shooting enemies effectively (i.e. hiding behind an island or hugging the map border)
Positioning, good: Hypothetical space-time coordinates, measured in Planck length and seldom explained in detail, in which you can effectively attack without taking much damage in return (See also: Smoke)
Potato: 1) Anyone worse at the game than me 2) Actually me too, if we're being honest
Powercreep: The process by which legendary historical warships of the world's mightiest navies are steadily rendered irrelevant by bias-fueled busted boats based on never-built nonsensical napkin drawings and the pathetic pipe dreams of a second-world dictatorship
PTS: The Public Test Server, where you can wait 10 minutes in queue to play a match with one or two other humans, in order to try out new features that will be added to the live server in a couple of weeks regardless of feedback
Push: A coordinated aggressive move to secure an objective, made when the enemy team already has an insurmountable lead
Radar: A consumable detection system using radio waves which travel through some solid objects, such as islands, to detect other solid objects, such as destroyers, which your team will then neglect to shoot at
Reload Booster, Main Battery: A consumable, unique to French ships for some reason, which magically speeds up the reload speed of guns to make HE spammers temporarily even more spammy
Reload Booster, Torpedo: A consumable to quickly reload torpedoes from an onboard magazine, given to only a small fraction of IJN ships that had this capability in real life, and a bunch of other random ships that didn't
Research Bureau: A system that lets you reset your progress on a line of ships six times to earn one mediocre new ship
Secondaries: Smaller caliber guns on a ship that put on a pretty fireworks show and sometimes accidentally damage an enemy target (see also: AA)
Shell, AP: Armor-piercing shells designed to bounce off thick armor and over-penetrate thin armor to do as little damage as possible
Shell, HE: High-explosive shells designed to trivialize player skill by ignoring target angling and lighting fires for constant damage
Shell, SAP: Semi-armor piercing shells, used by Italian cruisers, which efficiently combine the worst qualities of both HE and AP
Smoke: A vital defensive consumable which blocks vision of the enemy fleet and causes torpedoes to spawn at a perfect vector to hit ships inside
Torpedo: A weapon system that is frustratingly unreliable for the user but terrifying for everyone else (including allies)
Unicum: A player with an excellent in-game performance record, derrived from Latin roots "uni" and "cum," referring to one who will only ever achieve sexual gratification while alone
Win rate: The percentage of random battles you win on average, which determines how you will be judged as a human being and whether any opinions you post on public forums will be taken seriously
Coop battle: PvE mode, for those missions which require you to win a match
Random battle: Classic team-based PvP mode in 1 vs 23 format
Ranked battle: Seasonal random battles with smaller teams, geared towards masochists with excessive spare time
Clan battle: Main competitive mode and pinnacle of WOWS strategic gameplay, where victory is decided by which clan has the best team of Soviet capital ships and WASD-mashing gunboats
Operation: PvE scenarios, half of which are currently missing, which Wargaming has no intention of restoring or expanding on despite it being the only fun mode left in the game
Destroyer: Small, fragile ships designed as expendable escorts, which have the highest skill floor, highest skill ceiling, and most influence on the results of a match
Cruiser: Well-rounded jack-of-all-trades ships with many exciting roles such as sitting behind an island or smoke and spamming HE, open-water kiting and spamming HE, or getting one-shot by a lucky battleship
Battleship: Large, clumsy floating bonfires which offer a thrilling gameplay choice of either sniping ineffectively from the back line or getting focus-fired to death anywhere near the front (exception: Soviet Battleships)
Aircraft carrier: A ship type which generates upvotes when complained about on Reddit
Submarine: An upcoming ship type designed to draw hate from the anti-CV crowd by making carriers look reasonable by comparison, and to further increase the workload and skill gap for destroyer players

Hi everyone, I have made a small summary of what is missing in the game, and some errors that I found. Sorry for my English, I'm from Argentina and I find it a bit difficult. I hope Blizzard can see this and take note. Feel free to comment or add errors and suggestions: -Total lack of the “Custom Campaigns” section. -Disappearance of profiles (no statistics, no history, no matchmaking) -Disappearance of the clans. -Total disappearance of re-recorded original audios (although Latin audio was added) -There is no ladder for multiplayer games. -Lack of servers in South America (problem that persists from 2002 to 2020 should be unacceptable) -Old UI and not adaptable to the new Widescreen resolutions (it is not the UI that was promised during the presentation) -Colors too vibrant, even the game does not even have the option to correct the gamma. -Hotkeys is unacceptable. The same game tells you that you have to edit a .txt to change them, the personification of not doing things with desire. -The textures of the terrain do not correspond to the visual quality of the buildings and units, which are very good. -(This is a personal opinion) The background menus of the campaigns are simple images with a slight movement, unlike the 3D backgrounds we had in the original. -The animations of the units are “locked” at 30 FPS, when the rest of the game runs at 60 FPS or more, which makes them look “weird”. -The pathfinding does not work correctly, causing several units to lock each other when moving in groups. -Looping sound errors. In particular, I will give the examples I have encountered: * When the murlocs die, sometimes they make their death sound 3 or 4 times in a row. * Some units sometimes do not make their selection, attack or movement sounds. * Some unit attacks produce no sound. -Some campaign missions (vary by person), immediately after loading, take you to the "Defeat" screen. -Some people have lost the progress of the campaign upon entering and leaving the game (this has not happened to me in particular, for now). -When playing campaigns in "Reforged" mode, progress is not moved to "Classic" mode, so you have to do them again. -90% of the cinematics are the same as we saw in the original game, with a little more brightness and adapted to current screens. The only “reforged” one is that of the intro of the game, presented in 2018. -As for the ingame scenes, some have been re-made, others slightly modified, and others remain the same as the original. -(This is personal opinion) The difficulty of the campaigns is much more accessible than in the original game. I don't know if it will be a sensation or something that is indeed so. -The vast majority of characters with their own name in history have their unique model. However (and this surprised me a lot), Captain Falric, Marwyn and Luc Valonforth have exactly the same model. -As for the multiplayer heroes, several models of each hero were promised, not to see simple recolors of it. However, this does not exist, except for the skins that come with the Spoils of War edition. -As for performance, I particularly had no problems, except for FPS falls when destroying a building or (particularly) using Thrall's "Earthquake" ability. -Some other crashing directly to the desk for no apparent reason. -Some unit (for example, adult dragons) do not have their portrait. -By merging (obligatorily) the Reforged launcher with that of the classic game, the above-mentioned functionalities that were present in the original are lost and when merged they can no longer be accessed (clans, profiles, ladders, classifications, etc.). -By merging the launchers, it is no longer possible to modify certain graphic aspects of the original game, such as shadows or other details. This can only be modified if we acquire the Reforged mode, so the graphics of the original game are even worse. I leave something aside: What happens with the Editor is something unfortunate. It was and it is the community that was responsible for keeping the original game alive for almost 20 years. Publisher forums are burning. In particular, this will take a lot of life away from the game unless they change it. It seems that they do not want to be lost again what happened with DOTA, but the way to do it is not this. I have personally played almost all the stories in books and novels thanks to other fans who have made those stories with the editor, something fantastic. The clearest example of how to do things is what happened to Half-Life and Counter Strike, or to keep us in Blizzard, the moment the company hired fans to do the World of Warcraft cinematics.
